At Smooth Starts Plus, we recognise that many children’s needs are misunderstood, leading to labels such as ‘challenging behaviour’. Our approach sees past these barriers, and instead focuses on how the child can thrive and achieve.

Our services are tailored to meet local need and adapted to each individual child.
We offer two key services:

OUR PROCESS

All our services are grounded in a structured clinical cycle:
Assess, Analyse, Plan, and Evaluate - tailored to each child’s needs. Using tools from
the Model of Human Occupation (MoHO) and based on principles from Sensory
Attachment theory, we create personalised, achievable support plans.

EDUCATION SUPPORT

Our Education Service supports
children who struggle in learning
environments by providing engaging,
interest based sessions which build
on their strengths. Services are
delivered flexibly, in the environment
most suitable for the child.

SHORT BREAKS

Our Short Break Service supports children who face barries accessing leisure activities, to enjoy and have fun. Sessions are individually planned based on the child’s interests, and are delivered in the local community.
